Interesting comment about the rate of expansion of West Jet vs the lowering unit cost. So if I have it right, the more WJ grows, the cheaper it gets to operate? when does it reach a breaking point? I guess as long as yield holds at current levels then it doesn't matter really, until the market is saturated.

Also, anyone with thoughts on his idea of Air Canada breaking up? Now that they sold off the aeroplan, jazz, maintenance units, its just an airline? do you think they could split up domestic/international/charter?

wasn't sure what he was getting at there.

cheers

As someone that has been in this industry for decades, I can say, without hesitation that the airline industry will be fine, just lay off the salty snacks and 100 dollar fares and it'll live a long, healthy....oh dear god..

Vaughn Cordle? Wasn't he a hockey player in the WHL once? Hartford Whalers? 3rd line defence I think.

Hartford Whalers, eh? Not sure...I know Gordie Howe played for the Whalers. Sure you’re not thinking of Gordie Howe? Mind you, he’s a touch better than 3rd line defence…

Yeah sure...he doesn’t think AC is a viable airline either.
