Boeing 737NG simulator seeking pilot...
Hello everyone,
My name is Alain and I live in the vincinity of Quebec City.
Four years ago I started building a Boeing 737NG simulator full scale. Yes full scale and almost 100% simulated!
Today, the simulator is almost completed and I'm looking for someone who knows very well the 737 to check the accuracy of various systems and to be a kind of instructor for me as I wish to improve my skills in flying the 737Ng aircraft. I must say that I already have many knowledge in flying because I was a commercial bush pilot many many years ago.
So, as I tried to make this simulator as close as possible to the real thing by reproducing almost all aircraft systems ... (full MIP, FMC's, MCP, EFIS's, Overhead and Aft Overhead) today I am at the stage of evaluating and improving it. The only thing missing at this time is the radios that should not delay. For now they are software simulated. Soon they should be hardware!
So if you are real 737 pilot or retired pilot and that you are interested in this project, please contact me.
If you are simply curious to see what it might look, you are welcome to visit my site.
Thank you,

Very impressive indeed! Congratulations. Looks like a lot of work, effort and money went into that project.

Re: Boeing 737NG simulator seeking pilot...
Thank you to you all.
As say Mark, one of you may come to fly with me.
As I was Bush pilot yonger I have some skills in flying. And some knowledge also. As it was not possible for me to fly a real 737 I decided to build mine... isit 'nt the best solution? Today I wish to make it as real as possible, so I need the help of real ......lucky 737 pilot...
This is the reason of my post here!
Many thanks,
Rightseatwonder, here is my web site...

That's fantastic. I'm sorry I don't live closer. We do have YQB overnights though!
Re: Boeing 737NG simulator seeking pilot...
If I ever get a YQB overnight with any decent time, I'll give you a dingle.

Re: Boeing 737NG simulator seeking pilot...
If you did find a pilot to come and fly the sim and they found certain flight characterstics unrealistic, would you be able to change the programming accordingly?

Once more thank you to all of you for your good words...!
WJ700 and Four1oh ,
If you know when you should be here in Québec, just let me know so we could meet and visit the cockpit!
Mark,
Yes it is possible to modify the programing accordingly to the right thing. I am working simultaneously with a friend who is working with the programmation of the cockpit. If something is not close to the real thing he has the capability to modify all that. This is a fun part of this project

A lot of money, yes...
Most of all, a lot of work...

Re: Boeing 737NG simulator seeking pilot...
Man, you could probably sell the thing for a pile of cash to WJ for their pre-sim trainer!

You know Four1oh,
The best would be to work for them and to built some more for them...
I am almost retired, and am thinking about something this way for my retirement...
I will fly my sim or will build some more...

Alpha-Tango, are you using the PMDG aircraft as the flight model inside of MSFSX?
This is the first 737NG full scale mock-up I've seen and it looks incredible! Once you're ready to go how much will you charge for someone to come have a run at it?
Very cool!

Re: Boeing 737NG simulator seeking pilot...
Invertedattitude,
I am not using PMDG software. It is not possible because they persist in not wanting to supply all the offsets for linking the different switches and annunciators to their products. It is a little complex but you have to know that you need the specifics address of each switchs or annunciators software to link your switch or annunciator harware to the program. Many many people have insisted to PMDG since many years (so did I...) but we always received negative answer...!
So I am using a totaly independant software taht is developed for my use actualy. Soon it should be available for cockpits builders.
At the beginning I decided to build this just for my use, but in front of many many need in expansive harwares I do not close completly the door to have some interrested visitors! Maybe that could help me achieving the project.
(sorry for my poor english, I hope you understand)

I do understand AT, and thanks for the reply.
I hope one of these WestJetters can help you out at some point! I really envy someone who gets to see such an ambitious dream come to fruition.
It's a shame about PMDG, I can't imagine why they would be so negative to such a project which would only help them sell more of their drastically bloated software add-ons, (No matter how detailed and "Authentic" they are!)

invertedattitude,
This is also my opinion for PMDg. I think they are not aware of the clients they could have with their nice product. Btw the soft is not complete and finaly with the soft we are working on averything will be simulated...!
goaroundthrust,
Actually I am working on motorisation of the throttle and Fire Handel panels. Here is a brief overview fire handle. It is not completed but once done you will see all the mecanism on my site...

Very nice work! I bet there would be a market for full motion, full size simulator of WWII aircraft such as a Spitfire connected to Combat Flight Sim?? Or helicopter sim?

Would I have the chance that you are a 737 pilot?
