Brown Bear a fray it can be, but if you have a very thick hide you will survive here.

Re: New Here
The most interesting thing in this particular thread is the little "edited by Lil" note.
What was edited? Why? What did Cat Driver and "Nark" have to say to Little Bear that was unacceptable? Why was it unacceptable? Why don't Cat driver and "Nark" know the forum rules? Was it bad spelling? That seems unlikely, I've always found Cat Driver's spelling to be above reproach.
I'll tell you something, little Bear. You have to be very careful what you say here about
Edited
otherwise you'll need a doctor to pull it out for you.
Anyway, welcome, welcome!!

Meatservo it is not my spelling it was because I cautioned Brown Bear to be careful of what he / she posts here because if you mention anything that could be seen as negative about certain companies you will be edited.
I guess we will have to learn to be very careful of what we say about certain groups and add " pilots " to the growing list of groups of whom we must not seen to be saying anything that could be seen as non P.C.
So from now on I'm just going to say.
:: " Well done and kudos to the crew, you didn't die doing what you love. " ::
Or maybe just find another means of passing time as it would seem I am not part of this " Band of Brethern " anymore due to being ignorant of the industry.

Meatservo, in that I did not get the privilege of much formal schooling I am forced to use the dictionary quite often when writing these missives, I have enough flack come down on me from the more educated here for being insensitive and a dinosaur so I try not to add ignorant of the language to my shortcommings. Was it bad spelling? That seems unlikely, I've always found Cat Driver's spelling to be above reproach.

@ almost 12000 posts to this name you feel you're NOT part of the Band of Brethern anymore?? Do you need more back patting and more respect from many of us already?Cat Driver wrote:

I am truly distressed when reading what the system has done to the gang in Hamilton.
My wife has started to with hold my exercise sessions because of my addicition to Avcanada, I believe it is time I take the twelve step program and start weaning myself from posting so often.

Re: New Here
Cat, you know I luv ya, and many people here have learned a lot from you, but every thread seems to go off topic soooooooooo quickly. (where is that dedicated spelling mod?)
I was trying to keep a nice "welcome to avcanada" thread somewhat on topic. There's a lovely thread about Censorship on avcanada here: viewtopic.php?f=54&t=48850 which would be the appropriate place for Meatservo and you and others to voice your concerns about the moderation of the forums.
Hugs and kisses,
Lil

Lil:
I am not in the least upset with any of you moderators, heaven knows ( assuming there is a heaven.
) I have been given more license to express my thoughts and opinions here than anyone here.
It just seems that there is such a vast difference of opinion regarding how the industry is run and the seeming willingness for so many here to defend every accident / incident that takes place in aviation by jumping on anyone who attempts to find out " why " these accidents happen. It is almost like there is a auto-denial mentality among a lot of pilots.
I really have reached the point where I am convinced that I have become more of a lightening rod for discontent here than serving any real positive asset to this forum.
That is the point at which I am now in this forum and I need to take a holiday from this for more reasons than one.
Please don't take this as my trying to whine my way out of this because I don't need or want anyone to try and give me warm fuzzies. I am not wired that way.
Anyhow I will quit rambling on and on about this LIL, you have a merry Christmas and don't neglect your sex life.

I'm not concerned about the moderation of the forums at all. I'm just a you-know-what- disturber, and whenever I see something deleted I feel like I missed all the fun. I will mock anyone, including you, Lil.
I hope you guys didn't scare the bear away.

Re: New Here
I think if you read a bit, you'll see I make fun of myself here from time to time Meatservo, .
Again, to bring this back on track:
Brown Bear, don't worry about causing trouble with your introduction, that's just the avcanada way.

Re: New Here
Hi BB, I've always found the best avcanada introductions always start along the lines of
"Hi my wealthy dad wants to help jump start my aviation career by getting me a PPC for my birthday, what aircraft should I get it on and where do I go?"
J/k but in all seriousness, what segment of our industry do you join us from? I'm in the instructing side of things at the moment.

Welcome,
I am glad you are not lurking anymore on this site.
Now if you would only stay away from my house at 2:00 am all will be OK.
