Red Lake float Flying
Just wondering what is going on in red lake sounds like it has really slowed down. I know tourism has slowed down a little bit but what about all of the other flying. Is there any more flying for mining? or anything other then tourism? Just sounded quiet up there THIS PAST SUMMER.

Well, looking at the temps there, I'd be willing to guess that there isn't a whole lot of float flying going on now

Say, what's that mountain goat doing up here in the mist?

I know the lakes are frozen and the planes are high and dry, I was talking about summer operation. Any positive info would be nice.
Thanks

I was looking for the industries opinion or experience on Chimo Air Service.
Pilot experience, maintenance facilities/aircraft state or customer satisfaction. I have heard good stuff, and just wondering frrom a maintenance perspective
Thanks

Last I checked Chimo was well staffed for next year. Of course it never hurts to put your name in. Their maintenance is performed by the good guys at Red Lake Seaplane.
Re: Red Lake float Flying
Have a look at Green Airways, might be a few positions available there.

I just got here. I'll look around, but Howey Bay, and Mrs Curious are both frozen just now.

Hey JC, Did you go south to RL to warm up, or get lost in a snow storm on a trip. Happy new year!!

Going south to warm up in Red Lake and Winnipeg was a colossal error in judgement.

Re: Red Lake float Flying
Regarding Chimo Air, contrary to one of the above posts, we may be looking for several experienced float pilots who can meet the insurance requirements for the upcoming season. All depends on who is coming back as we always give our existing crew first dibs, but they have to let me know soon. I will be posting something in the job forum.
