A friend of mine has a ATPL(H) and a CPL(A).
He got one book and two stickers, one for the Airplane license and one for the Helicopter. Each sticker listed all types and ratings applicable to that license
If you hold both a Commercial License and also a ATPL will they send you two books or one?
Anyone know the answer?
You will get ONE booklet. Inside the booklet will be the evidence of multiple licences. The one Aviation Document will include ALL licences that a pilot holds.

That must be it, if you sent a picture of osama it would have gone through no problem.
Remember when the long gun registry first came in and someone registered there Black & Decker Drill, I would not be surprised if our nations finest aviation specialists let something through.
Here's a picture to photoshop and submit with your licence.
My commercial medical is expired. Can I still get one of these new licences? And I know the Radio Operator Certificate is separate. Is the medical still separate too?

You can still apply for the new booklet since you do hold a Commercial Licence. The medical is included as one of the elements of the document.
OK thanks. I will take this to be true as I have not been given any indication from Transport Canada that this new licence booklet exists. I think that conversation was in another thread.
When the gun registry first started up, 'Mom' Bouchard, the head of the Hell's Angels, while incarcerated in some federal hellhole for life, I believe, registered a Colt .45........

As I posted on another site, I applied early Nov. Told to expect it in March, but no mention of which year. Also, is my Ultralight "permit" also on the new document or do I need another one? Ah, I love dealing with Transport.

What little I do know is either not important or I've forgotten it!
Transport Canada's mission statement: We're not happy until you're not happy
I've lost that orange piece of paper my original radio licence was printed on back in the late 60's. Actually I think it just disintegrated after being in my wallet for 40 years. Who do I contact in the gumitup to get a replacement.
Thanks

Yes, your document will include your Pilot Permit - Ultralight. The document will put ALL of your Canadian Licences and Permits in the same booklet.
Submitted the app. in person on the evening of the 7th.. had it arrive in the mail on the 17th. Very quick turnaround time, was a pleasure dealing with the staff at the western office in vancouver when I showed up right near closing time.. too bad it's an ugly color and strange format.. but oh well...
I was really hoping the cover would have some sort of artwork on it like a Beaver with a boat strapped to it hauling out of some lake, or some other great moment in Canadian aviation history.
I turned my paperwork in at the TC office in Toronto the begining of October.... still waiting for my booklet. Does anyone have an idea what the time line is?
I phoned the TC office in Toronto last week about my licence application. The only thing they'd confirm is they received my application. They told me they were working on the applications they had received in November. flieger I'd phone them and find out what the delay with your application is all about.

If your new license format ( notice the license has not changed, only the format in which they print it has changed.) has not arrived by the deadline would you go to work and fly or stay home and wait for TC to send your new format?

The hardest thing about flying is knowing when to say no
After over a half a century of flying no one ever died because of my decision not to fly.
