Best Airline Jobs in Canada

Post by tryme »

I am interested to hear everyones opinion of the top 5 jobs in Canada. I think the best job is obvious to anyone but after that opinions may vary.

I say:

1) Westjet
2) Air Canada
3) Air Transat
4) Skyservice
5) Jazz

6) Flying a water bomber for the O.P.A.S.
Why do people always think the best jobs are airline?
Nice salary, full pension and benefits, modern equipment, 5 to 6 months off a year to pursue other interests.

Why is the best job, "obvious to anyone", WJ? I am sure for many of those at AC, Skyservice, CJ etc, and especially those that left WJ because they didn't like it, that isn't the obvious answer.

You have got to be kidding. Westjet is and will remain to be the best place to work in Canada for at least the next 10-20yrs. Great bunch of guys and some of the most talent you will ever find in the industry.

No troll here. I recognize that everyone is entitled to their opinion but I am merely stating my own. It is unfortunate that this thread has already veered way off topic.

I think that the best job for me is working for me..

Unfortunately I do not fly in Canada so my choice will not count in this thread.

The hardest thing about flying is knowing when to say no

After over a half a century of flying no one ever died because of my decision not to fly.

I find it freaking amazing how little some of you care for the serviceability of the machines you fly!? ...or maybe it's how little you know?

You made your statement come across as an absolute truth that should be 'obvious' to everyone. When disagreed with, the response is "You have got to be kidding."

It comes across as more than a personal preference.

WJ is obviously the right place for you. It doesn't mean it is the right place for everyone.

Sounds like someones mother/broker is on the board. I think she might moonlight as a radio sportscaster too.

Yah, I was wondering about freight as well? No Pax to worry about but the aircraft are usually a tad older than the rest ;)

What about A.C.E. Cargojet, Kelowna Flight Craft or Morningstar?

Wow I just noticed that they all fly '27's.
