Re: Duke Elegant:
one of the highlights of my career so far was working with Les and Rooster in High Level, Ab the stories those two had about their Airspray days in that area were hilarious and amazing.
better to be a racer for a moment, than a spectator for a lifetime
Re: Duke Elegant:
A true class act! Looking forward to the compilation of pics and stories.
As an aside.. my father printed off all the pages of well wishes from avcan after my mishap and bound them together for me. Puts a tear in my eyes reading all of it. Sounds like the Duke appreciated al the good people from avcanada as well.
Birddog, wherever you put vasty differing groups of people together you're bound to get disagreements and bickering. The good see past the petty squabbling...

Ah yes, the 'metal beach,' I knew it well.
"What's it doing now?"
"Fly low and slow and throttle back in the turns."

What to say about a Man like Les. He was a great leader and teacher. I was lucky enough to fly with him in the last years of his life. I learned more that I even realize from Les.

Hey man thanks for sharing. It seems like I am meeting more and more people that you and I know. Funny how that is.Rowdy wrote:A true class act! Looking forward to the compilation of pics and stories.
