Apparently the Calgary Airport Authority now owns it.

Are you serious? That sucks.

Well, if they wanted a GPS, they're going to be sadly disappointed.

I've just heard that they are shutting their doors today.

Anyone know the true situation?

I have already had calls from their finance company looking for the plane.

The airport probably gave it back when they found out it didn't have a GPS.

I work for Corpac and so far has not been told to pack up my stuff and go home. We will see what happens in the next month or so.

The hangar never belonged to Corpac, was very expensive as well as we had the lease on Palmer Rd and it made more sense to move back there and save BIG$$$$$$/month

You must be much closer to the action that I am but I am sure that the Finance company could or would call Corpac if they wanted to know where the plane is.

Well not sure about that but the I'm sure the finance company would like the plane back before it gets seized.

I know for sure that at least 1 pilot was laid off yesterday

Actually it was two pilots and they were laid off on Friday, not yesterday. Both were good guys, and while one is already off with a new company, I hope the other finds something soon. They will be sorely missed. :(

Please stop with the alarmist crap already. If the time comes when the doors close, then rest assured there will be enough griping on here from us. In the mean time, I'll take condolence cards for not having a GPS.

Yes I know of the one pilot who was an awesome guy but I would be worried when I haven't been paid in 2 weeks and the same guy told me quote "Corpac will be closing their doors"

So you need to air his grievances publicly for him? Seriously?

Look, the industry is having enough issues without people speculating on whether more people are going to lose their jobs. What has happened here is unfortunate but I don't share his financial experience or his opinion. I've been through way worse than this at Corpac but whatever man, just keep kicking us while we're down. It's cool.
