i think more PFO responses are gonna go the other way on this one.....they advertise "southern" ontario in part of the actual title for the job ads, and the most southern base is timmins. i know a lot of people that applied thought they had a toronto base....i really don't get why they would say that. trying to 'lure' pilots in already?

i'll give them the benefit of the doubt on this one.....but seriously, does that seem a bit odd to anyone else?

I didn't realize that Timmins was what they were considering to be Southern Ontario. I had figured they had a base in Toronto, London, or Kitchener. I guess for some Timmins will be a lot nicer than Sioux Lookout, but for a lot of Southern Ontario guys who spent the last 5-10 years trying to get down here, it would be a bitter pill to swallow going back.

There were some news releases regarding Toronto City Centre airport, as well as a temporary base last summer in Muskoka airport. I believe that the somewhat "official" line of southern ontario lies between Toronto and Barrie.

i was called for the second interview. and, ornge is even offering to pay for the flight to the interview. i've never seen any other company do that, in my experiences. im impressed. getting over the whole so-on thing, i'd say this is a good sign of how this company will operate.

it's one thing to pay for a flight during training, to where they need to train you, but to and from an interview? i really can't think of too many 703 operators that would do that.....

i think this will be a very sought after company to fly for as things progress...time will tell.

Well are they paying for a taxi to and from the interview and your meals. Most operators that I had a second interview with paid everything. So if you get the job are they just paying for your airfare for training and you pay for your own room and meals. You had better ask it all adds up at your expense..

I'm assuming both, but I got called for the Captain spot.

I got called on the 18th on my cell for a 2nd interview next week. Unfortunetly I'm away at work and told them that the days would not work with my schedule. Saying that they are very helpful.
