Layoff's again-?
Is it true that Regional 1 from Calgary has laid off up to 10 crews?
Re: Layoff's again-?
I'm pretty sure Regional 1 has laid off some people as well.

I don't think anyone from Cariboo has been layed off.
Re: Layoff's again-?
well as per pilotcareercentre, it clearly states that 12 were laid-off as of March, 09...

Regional 1 has layed off crews. Truth.
Insert funny or cool quote here.

I was chatting with 2 buddies of mine who flew -8s for Reg 1 last night. They both got laid off on Friday. There were others as well.

Price of oil happened, CNRL for whom R1 and Canadian North did a lot of flying has reduced drastically their workforce and flying.
Had beers with one of the laid off pilots last night at least 12 laid off.

The price of oil is forcatsed to reach $75 by year end. So it will be go go go in AB when the world economy shows any sign of recovery.

And last year it was predicted to be $200+ in the fall.KAG wrote:The price of oil is forcatsed to reach $75 by year end
I for one think we should all just ignore the speculators, that's how the hype, greed, and problems began last time.
It would be nice if things stabilized in the $75-90 range, but you know once it gets there it will keep going up $3-5 per week until we are back to that breaking point again.
