JOBS IN CANADA

Post by marcorivera16 »

Hi there, I am new here, I am Venezuelan and soon will be moving to Canada to live in that great Country, I am looking for a new life and a better future to me and my family. I am FAA ATP, ICAO Commercial and soon TC ATP. I am currently flying a Cessna Citationjet 2 (C25A). I know this is a very important aviation website and I would like to know comments about how is the aviation market in canada and where I could get a list of corporate and charter companies where I could apply to get a job. I am planning to move to Vancouver or any city on the West coast.

Thank you for your help.

Hey, nice ... I lived in Venezuela when I was kid for a few years, loved it!

I'm afraid I'm a private pilot, so can't really help you ... But this site has a jobs section you could have a look at.

Here's another one that might be useful:

Good luck!

This is a thread from the Employment section of this forum, with pretty much all the online resources there are. But you'll find just sending out resumes may not help you. I recall another guy a month or two ago who has had nothing but trouble finding a job here in Canada. I think he was a 737 captain and I can't remember where he emigrated from, but had been here for a year with no luck. Anyway, there are a lot of Canadian pilots out of work right now and that will obviously not help your situation, but still, if you have Jet PIC time, I'm sure something will come up sooner or later.

Good luck to you and on behalf of all (or at least most :D ) Canadians, welcome.

Cheers,

JAC
