Quick Tax Question Re ATPL
Has anyone tried to write off the expense of the ATPL.

Yes you can, but the exam and application fees will be thrown back at you - like it did with me... good old Revenue Canada, they have very sharp pencils you know.
You'll need the appropriate form filled out by the FTU you're doing it through, can't remember the form number/name.

For the exam, it's no problem. it goes under scholarship... did it last year, but it's not that much...
For the hours, I guess you could justify it by showing them the requirement for the ATP licence that you need to be able to do your job, and the invoice of the hours that you did in a FTU. Let me know how it goes, I'll be claiming it next year...
