You just can't stop a legend.

There isn't a single thing you can do to a DC-3 to make it look ugly. Not a thing. What a flying machine.

Even with this geophysic stuff on it look good...And I'm pretty sure it do the job better than my 185.

Ugly is in the eye of the beholder.

I think this is a real nice looking airplane, but some people think it is ugly.

We do not try and load them in high seas, for many reasons.

Water will not come in the hatches if they are closed as they have rubber seals....if the waves were high enough to allow water in we would not open the hatches.

Yes all compartments have pumps should water get in the hull, the pumps are automatic and we arm them whenever we are stopping on the water.

I flew that Cat all over Africa, Europe, and South and North America. That picture was taken in Zimbawbe.

The Cat is a very different airplane from the DC3, the 3 is very easy to fly whereas the Cat can be a hand full at times.

The discussion was about the looks of the DC3, and I was comparing it to another airplane that I think also looks good.

That Dash was parked on my ramp in Yellowknife when I was there... pretty wild looking. I asked what happens if the the front cables let loose and go into the engines... the reply I got was that's what those little airfoils are for... in theory, the cable will just fly away.

Either way, very cool.
