Howzit,

How old must a child be to fly in a small aircraft? Can you fly with an infant?

Thanks

Took my daughter up at three months. Best way to travel with young kids. Ten minutes and....ZONK! All the way up to 10,000 and down to sea level with no problems.

Make sure you plan the descent otherwise little ears will get hurt. We used ear defenders for hearing protection. Also make sure there is someone else in the plane who can deal with the child. Gravol is your friend.

Thanks for the tip on the ear defenders.

Will you use your normal carseat?

Another one is to try and have a bottle or a soother for them.

This will keep them sucking and reduce the pressure in there ears (it is just like chewing gum for the little ones).

I heard of a crash awhile back and the only survivor was the baby that was in its normal car seat.

Hope that helps.

Keeping my little guy away from the airport... hoping he'll go be a dentist someday to pay for his dad's flying habit.

No trees were harmed in the transmission of this message. However, a rather large number of electrons were temporarily inconvenienced.

Got dispatched to that one by PFCC in the middle of the night but had to say no due to wx in the mountains. Glad I didn't know until after who it was for... :(

I think that if you stick to the dotted lines when making the folds your might have some aviation success.

This has to do with taking your children flying how again? I'm assuming this has to do with a highly sarcastic post made in another thread.........well I'm hoping that you realized it was sarcastic anyway, as even my 4 year old would be able to pick up on it.

Getting back to the topic of the thread, I too would like to take my kids up as well. When you guys/gals have taken your little ones up, I'm thinking it was on wheels. I'd like to be able to take them up both on wheels and floats....anyone on here know if there's a spot in the Ottawa area that has anything on floats to get checked out on? Much appreciated.

You start with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience before you empty the bag of luck.
