WestJet has to return two of it's 700's to pay the for the D-checks on the 200's. Lack of invester confidence has forced creditors to ask for confirmation of finances due to the instability of the company. I really enjoy WJ but should I being selling my shares and updating my resume.

Common...get rid of those old -200s....screw the D-Checks and put them in the trash...bring those beautiful -700s back.

Return the direct buy's? The leased aircraft? Why return used aircraft when you could just halt delivery of on coming models. I think you got it wrong, nobody wants their aircraft back, especially Boeing or leasing companies, if they did you would see a whole lot more of that type of stuff going on in the US with Delta and US air's financial situation. You didn't see companies scrambling for aircraft when AC was in dire straits, it was just the opposite, they tried to figure out some possible way for them to keep the aircraft. GECAS even helped finance so AC could afford to lease aircraft from them. Let's be a little more creative.

I don't bash Jetsgo, I bash ML, and I propogate rumors as rumors, not facts. Just like pretty much everyone else here does. And I wasn't defending WJ, I was exercising my opinion, which is this rumor is bs. R U ok now?

I had heard that WJ does not do D checks. They had been approved for some sort of progressive, that reduces down time and increases utilization. Or is this just for the NG aircraft?
