I'm looking to write my Canadian ATPL within in mid-June
As I'll be using the Aerocourse to prepare, I wanted to ask, you the flying elite,
whether the additional recommended books that they specify are really a requirement to pass the ATPL exam?
Can anyone tell me if they successfully passed the exams with the purchase of these "recommended" books?
Thanks

Re: ATPL study
Just wrote the last one today, the aerocourse book is a great tool and I passed both exams with alot of room to spare using only it as reference. The ATPL's are themselves not all that difficult and can be completed in an hour if your well prepared (i still say PPL was the hardest TC). I used the the aerocourse book and it was fine. Of course it never hurts to read all related material and know everything, better to do it now then later. The only trouble is swamping yourself with alot of information thats "good to know" instead of "need to know"
good luck, you'll do fine

Re: ATPL study
Aerocourse book is gold. Air command wx. manual is probably the best for Meteorology review and the Instrument procedures manual (INRAT study) is good at reviewing radio aid theory,.
The AIM should also be studied to some degree as well.
Other than those, I can't thing of anything else...maybe FTGU.
