Wow what an idiot, did nobody ever teach this guy when to overshoot?

It looks like a CPL pilot, I can see the white shirt and black pants and it even looks like at 1:30 you can see a black tie.

Airspeed is tough to get rid of in ground effect.

I believe it is a later model Aztec.

LOL, what's the asshole doing with a camera on top of the obstacle short final? Must be the same guy who was shooting Top Gun vids with a model airplanes vs. Qantas jets on approaches in Aus.

Also lol @ the brake stand with the flaps down, woulda made it with room to spare if he pulled em up in the flare

Very Simple, Too high, lowers nose to steepen descent and flares about 15 to 20 knots too fast.

You either put it down in the touchdownzone, or go-around. But looking at some of the videos for this airport some severe questions should be asked about its location and configuration. It is like threading a needle.

Anybody looking at this scenario can see the potential for disaster. How many of us though would say no to a flight into this airport.

Buddy landed 2/3's down the runway trying to grease it on rather than plant it on. Terrible decision. Also carried a bit too much speed as someone mentioned, forcing the flare to last longer than it should have. Either case, he's hopefully learned his lesson and someone's taking him back to the drawing board. I don't know, this is just poor PDM.

What happened is pretty evident. What's not known is why. In any event, there's a few people on here setting themselves up for a big helping of crow if they do something stupid.

What a great response from the St.Barths emergency crew. Looked like about 30 seconds before they were rolling - maybe they could see it was all going wrong way before the pilot did!!!
