Congrats Clark and see you on the 6.
Looking at real estate in and around Toronto myself. Ouch!
Think Porter would be OK with a tent in the parking lot at the terminal :)
Might be looking for accomadations in Toronto while in training if anyone knows of anything let me know.

When looking at real estate, remember that Porter has a shuttle service from Union Station so you can commute on the GO train. Plus transit passes are tax deductible!

June 1st like SAY again.

I agree on the tent by the ferry, we should plan for the Igloo on winter as well. Real estate indeed is a little scary, was thinking to get someting really closer to enjoy the lakefront view. But I'll think, I'll do sometime in a rental for a moment.

Say Again, do not hesitate to come and say hello when we meet, I have a what we call a Qc Accent 8)

See you soon

Tata for now :)

I got a call on the 2nd or 3rd, can't remember. They asked about my time, a couple Vspeed definitions and what SMS is. I was golfing when they called. Took 5 minutes then they said I'd hear back, haven't yet but have my fingers crossed. Anyone have anything like this?

I am guessing calling you up and asking for V speeds that you have time of type, and it would a direct entry Captain spot? What about the rest of you? Higher time or FO's?

On the news tonight. GO Train is talking of a rail line between Pearson and Union. That solves the Porter business plan fault of connections to YYZ. If you have an interview coming up, think of something else.

Well... there goes the business plan... cause currently, the downtown traveller has NO way of getting to Pearson besides the train. I'm sure the average time sensitive downtown business traveller would love to get on a public train, making stops on route to Pearson for their 45 minute flight to Ottawa.

More towards when Porter starts the runs from Northern Ontario to Toronto, there is another option with a cheap train ride to YYZ for connection flights instead on having to Jazz it.

Haven't replied to many posts but Cubester has a point / no point. Who cares who has an interview, what do you care? If someone wants to apply for a job, why would you steer them away? Do you know of any better jobs for pilots right now?

Porter will be just fine with a train link to Pearson. I think its welcome news for those who want an alternative to driving and parking at Pearson. However, it doesn't change the fact that a trip to Pearson from downtown adds a lot of time to the downtown traveller versus flying from the Island Airport.

I also had a phone interview around the first week of June.. SMS, Speeds, and a MEL question.
Is this a pre-screening for a interview or the actually interview ??.
I was not informed on when i would hear anything and i never asked.

Congratulations to those selected and best of luck to everyone still waiting to hear!
I start class on July 06 and as of today, the place I had agreed to sublet for the summer is somehow no longer available.
I was wondering if anyone here has anything available for july through aug while I am in training.
Just looking for a furnished room, nothin too fancy as long as it's quiet and clean.
I've got some leads I'm following up on so hopefully something works out soon.

Feel free to pm me

Thanks
