Nice one. @#$!, I am not clever today.
OK. So anyway, you are clever, but wtf? If you KNOW to a fault that Borek is so evil, by all means share. Otherwise you are still just throwing mud in the playground. Albeit with some accuracy...

to sum up my feeling about the "attitude" within that group would only repeat what I have said, to go further into detail will only start appearing personal, and believe me or not this nothing personal, I think that most that have read this post will agree with my view....but that would require rigorous honesty and nothing less, I flew for this outfit back in the days when the guys that were my Captains were a humble lot,, oh sure they would have a few brown pops and spew a bit but, and they were top of the heap and sadly I think that this much deserved respect and acknowledgment has been inherited by mice not men.

To all the haters, i'm sorry it didn't work out for you. That happens everywhere. Don't be disgruntled, don't sling mud, move on and find somewhere YOU fit. From the sounds of what i've heard from others about you Tuk, it's not in aviation. So the Best of luck to you.
It still saddens me that there are so many out there with ego's bigger than the airplanes around them that go spouting off anytime theres a whoopsie with a plane.. and this is now why it's all kept quiet and others arent learned by the mistakes of their peers.
In the mean time, theres work to be done, money to be made and friends to share good times with.

see what I mean, these punks believe that "it didn't work out for you" what does that mean.... what makes you think it hasn't worked out for us? Cause we have moved on.... a way past the orange, black, & white, like a while back? things are just dandy from where I'm sittin boy, just dandy they are.

Thanks for the advice. Thank god it didn't work out for me. I don't have to put up with shit wages agrrogant people, two months of living in a tent in Antartica with 3 assholes, working 80 hours a week in a 3rd world country for $1700/month or sharing a crew house with 10 other people anymore. Borek could have worked out for me fine, If that's a dream job to alot of you by all means fill your boots. It's people like you that are the reason they get away with all the BS. Oh and apparently you get to learn from the best in the business. How many airplanes have they banged up in the last year or two. Probably has something to do with the I am GOD attitude. To all the haters, i'm sorry it didn't work out for you. That happens everywhere. Don't be disgruntled, don't sling mud, move on and find somewhere YOU fit.

Bunch of heroes? I know I'm a former Borek employee, and somewhat biased, but please share some of these "hero" attitudes in quote form?
There are dinks in every company I've worked for, and yes Borek had it's share, but for the most part it was a great company to work for, the pay was great (As a Captain) and the crew houses I shared with some truly fantastic pilots/people, were more like going to summer (winter) camp than the hell some here have portrayed.
Honestly I had the time of my life.
I have to seriously question some opinions on here as either completely ignorant or full of sh*t.

You may notice that some if not all of your posts have been edited or removed. That is because they diverged from being a discussion to a personal attack.
I know Rumrunner, Tuk U and Mr. Holmes. Not all of them regularly exchange Christmas cards with me. But they were all there at one time. So their opinions, while not always favorable to KBAL or myself, are not entirely without merit. Tuk U, in fact has shown considerable restraint thus far.
I rarely edit KBAL threads. No company is perfect. If we were, we'd be getting notes from Air Canada begging us to stop stealing their pilots. I don't believe we regularly receive them. Some people are quite articulate in pointing out ways in which a company can improve. Others less so. Why not try and learn from them anyway?
I don't know what happened at YUB, nor whom it happened to. I am 4000 miles literally and mentally from Tuk just now. I expect I'll find out.
For the rest of you. Have fun, play nice. Try to use a little more tact.

you edit this shit from a little 1100 hr cocky muther fucker who's time is better spent cleaning an airplane and I'll let this go other wise you have to delete this name and I.P. and I start in the next city. not that hard.i'm sorry it didn't work out for you.
I think that if you stick to the dotted lines when making the folds your might have some aviation success.

I'm not quite sure what you're getting at here. Looks like a bunch of drunken garble. Anyways...roger.roger wrote:500 000/1100= ?
maybe you should real in junior and we can all play nice in this sand box. tell me I didn't make you little muther fucker, I'll be lookin for his application and I know he'll be applying unless he wants to play on the ice his whole life.
P.S. the guy who applied to borek circa 1990
My whole point was not to step on your toes Tuk U or john holmes, but obviously, the environment, atmposphere and whatever else at borek was not for you, you went elsewhere where you fit in. Not everybody fits everywhere. But for some it works out just nicely as we've seen posts from both sides. To each their own.
Re: Plane skids off runway in Tuktoyaktuk
Umm, what? I assume you were sniffing glue when you wrote that, but you're still accountable for your posts and that one was nasty and sounded like a threat. Threats are completely unacceptable on this forum so that's strike 1 for you, rogersquared. You also posted it directly under a moderator's public post telling you to smarten up, which speaks to your powers of observation. Now go chill out, play some Xbox and come on back when you are done being mean. I'm not kidding.roger.roger wrote:you edit this shit from a little 1100 hr cocky muther fucker who's time is better spent cleaning an airplane and I'll let this go other wise you have to delete this name and I.P. and I start in the next city. not that hard.i'm sorry it didn't work out for you.

Re: Plane skids off runway in Tuktoyaktuk
I don't know anything about the culture at KBAL but having flown a Dash7 off my share of loon sh*t, I admire the ability that they have to operate in difficult terrain, routinely. I have no idea what the strip is like at Tuk, having bee no further north than Inuvik, but a TO off the strip there is less bizarre to me than a Dash8 off a 10,000 foot runway, with bells on.
I await, with interest, what the reasons were for this mishap. I am also waiting, with much more interest, you might even say 'bated breath, for what happened to that Jazz flight and the explanation for why it has been so hushed up?

Narrative: UPDATE TSB reported that the Kenn Borek Air Ltd./Aklak Air DHC-6 Twin Otter, registration C-GPAO, was on a scheduled flight from Inuvik to Tuktoyaktuk, NWT with 13 passengers and a crew of 2. Directional control was lost during the landing at Tuktoyaktuk and the aircraft departed the left side of the runway. The aircraft rolled down the runway edge embankment and came to rest in a pool of water about 15 inches deep, approximately 30 feet from the runway surface. The tail of the aircraft struck the ground during the excursion. Two passengers received minor injuries; the remaining occupants were uninjured. The aft fuselage belly skins and fuselage station 60 sustained substantial damage. A METAR taken about 20 minutes before the occurrence reported the winds as 050 degrees at 9 knots.

Sorry about that. It does read badly. I didn't wish to portray you as a mud-slinger. It happened, you noted it. I was a few thousand miles away and would have missed it if you hadn't.
Thanks for the post. I'll try to pay a bit more attention to how I write my own posts.

Re: Plane skids off runway in Tuktoyaktuk
Accidents can happen to anyone, one of the best pilots I have ever flown with told me the other day he landed gear up. Just forgot, hour 13 of his 6th straight day. No excuses though, he's pretty rattled by it. It was his fault, fortunately no one else on board and in the middle of nowhere. The plane is fubar'd.
The company I work for has never had an accident in 20 yrs, incidents yes. Sadly there are lots of pilots there who think their shit dont stink because of this, but anyone with a little common sense knows better.
KBA or NWright or anyone else for that matter is made up of a bunch of people trying to do a job, get paid, fly bigger/faster planes, get paid more in the best way they know how. Some are arrogant, some are humble, but sooner or later everyone will be humbled, and this will probably make them a better pilot.
I really am an aviation god though!

What exactly is the difference between an incident and an accident?

Cat i will put it in language you will understand. An incident is where you pull out...er... up in time, and accident is when you dont.
How can you tell which one is the pilot when you walk into a bar?....Don't worry he will come up and tell you.

I wonder how many accidents I had during my career that I don't know about?

If the number of Fathers Day cards you get on Sunday is equal to the number of kids you've been told about, don't worry about it. Just lean back, put your feet up and your hands behind your head, and smoke em if you got em!
