First Air 767 Arrives in YOW
I wouldn't have believed it unless I saw it. Great to see a little optimism in Canadian Aviation, I hope it works well for the company and marks the beginning of positive trend upward for the entire industry.

Not sure what you're getting at but it's not done yet. These were all "stickers" (vs. paint) done in house also after delivery and they look amazing.

Re: First Air 767 Arrives in YOW
Not on their OC yet. I wonder what sort of missions it will operate. Additonal Frt capacity or replacement for some of their present capacity.
Re: First Air 767 Arrives in YOW
who knew?
I am guessing all contract crews?
What flying will it be doing?

Contract crews to train 7F crews to start out as with any new airplane type. Crews have already bid on the plane and shuffle of crews up through the ladder is taking place.

The first ship has a full food mail schedule... charter work and operational backup for additional aircraft that may come.

Re: First Air 767 Arrives in YOW
This made its first flight into CYFB yesterday, (Sunday June 14).
Unfortunately I did not have my camera with me to take any photos of it.
It's certainly larger in person than I expected though it is devoid of any markings (no tail graphics) except for "First Air" down the side and its registration.
It will be back and I will get photos

Working with these people day in and day out they are nothing but professional and great pilots.tincanflyer wrote:nice to see they still had money left over to paint the tail...............3rd world air!
Re: First Air 767 Arrives in YOW
That is great to see I've flown with (as a passenger) many times with First Air and the service has been amazing. 3rd world air is more fitting to the malnutrition that occurs on southern carriers. I had a --free-- hot meal the last time I flew with FA. Hope this bird works out for them.
Re: First Air 767 Arrives in YOW
Well as promised.

Came back today. This thing is so big it has to use the turn-around bay at the end of runway 35 (threshold of 17).
