Then a carrier like Ryan Air walks in and gets all of the customers.
Today it's no longer "oh I flew on British Airways, I can keep my head high." It's more about getting to your damn destination; there are so many options.

Re: British Airways asks staff to work for free
just to play the role here....Would you rather take a month of no pay or see others who work with you let go and laid off?
I was talking with a Net Jets pilot the other day and they too are being asked to take consessions in order to save some 700 jobs. They have other options then to work for free mind you, but look were the auto unions took thier members to! Is it so wrong in hard times to ask people to take less? Now don't think I am not for hanging the CEO's out to dry for being the worst offenders...they should loose the most, but I would rather work a free month than have to look for a new job, lose seniority and whatever else.

Re: British Airways asks staff to work for free
The latest I've heard from a pilot who works at BA is that the union is proposing a 10% cut... see what happens I guess.
