Mentioned twice already on this threadMeanwhile, Skyward has also won court protection from its creditors to allow the company to rebuild slowly, without having to sell off its assets to pay bills.

Airline receives reprieve
By STAFF
Skyward Group of Companies was granted court protection from creditors yesterday. The company suffered financial loss resulting from the suspension of Skyward Aviation's air operating certificate on Jan. 31. The court order was granted under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act by Justice C. Murray Sinclair of the Manitoba Court of Queen's Bench.
The order will provide the company an opportunity to restructure financial and business affairs
Skyward Group of Companies provides medical evacuation services, passenger flights, air cargo transportation services and charter services throughout Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario.

Let's keep crying and wishing for the Skyward boys and girls. It makes me feel good and my little kitty sleeps better at night with those thoughts. Wait, what I really want is for the operation to get going and keep going so I don't have to wait for an entry J-O-B anymore. We all know how ruthless we'd be against our own best brother to get ahead, but we all need this airline to keep going. Sure they service the north communities. Yes they provide a vital link to the air ambulance service. I think they have relations with rich Yanks wanting to fish too. They never put anyone in a casket..... not had recent engine failures... and none or the planes were going to fall from the sky were they? And the whole Keystone thing to boot! The whole timing thing is great. It seems like a personal inspection in the poop flume and it's hurting way more people than anyone seems to see. Young families. Young pilots trying to get a break. Old pilots clutching to what they had or really really want. Old rampees being turned over because of some f--k up they couldn't control. Too bad all around. Smells like crap and it's bringing me down.
Hey, let's talk about accountability and who's gonna be next in court.

Where do you get off with a statement like that? What happened to the Disco Stu with the "Holy Rumours" kind of attitude? If you don't want people pissing on Perimeter, maybe you should take the same stance with other airlines.Except for 4 or 5 medevac patients last year.
What was the reason they couldn't get a medevac contract in Nunavut again?
disco stu.. it's taken me about 20 minutes to write this post.. 10 minutes i spent staring blankly at my computer screen wondering how someone can be so f*cking ignorant, and 10 minutes feeling embarassed for the company you work for (perimeter right?), and the chief pilot who hired you.Disco Stu wrote:Except for 4 or 5 medevac patients last year.ei ei oh wrote: They never put anyone in a casket.....![]()

i've been following this skyward thread, like most others, but your latest ignorant rant has motivated me to register so i can write a reply.
first of all, i want to say that you are an embarasment to this industry. we (excluding you and your buddy capt bitter and juicy) are all a group of (aspiring) professionals.. this is a cut throat industry (read this thread all the way through).... i like to think that only the most passionate, hard working, dedicated pilots make it... i've seen too many good people get f*cked (ie. everyone at skyward).. and then there is you.
it pisses me off when i see a guy or girl working the ramp, working their ass off, keeping their head down and mouth shut, doing their best, and then some loud mouth, arrogant, shallow prick like yoursefl occupying the seat of an aircraft beaking off non-factual, blatenly ignorant BS comments on this site for people to read. you are a disgrace to aviation, and your comments and posts make me sick to my stomach.
skyward is a good airline. it provides essential air services to manitoba/ontario and nunavut.... also, skyward has been one of the best starting point in the industry for young pilots.. i'm sure i wouldn't even be able to count the number of ex-skyard pilots working for AC/Cathy/Skyservice and other airlines in canada and around the world. the airline has never had a fatality. you work for perimeter right??? i heard you guys had to shut another engine down in thompson 2 days ago... so .. that's 3 in..what...almost 4 months?
i feel terrible about what happened to skyward. i think some of the best pilots in canada work for, and have come out of that company. the last thing this industry needs is more unemployed high time, and lowtime pilots looking for work.. i'm sorry for all the new pilots this spring who have to look elsewhere for work...
i am hopeful, like many many many others, that skyward will get flying soon. special thanks to the CP, ops mgr at skyward, as well as everyone else who has been working at skyward trying to get the airline up and running.
as for disco stu, i'm sorry you have such a hate on for skyward and i'm sorry that you have nothign better to do with your than sit on this site and bash an age old successful company, as well as your peers, co-workers, and professional colleagues.

Can you even put that in the same catagory as pilots dying in Perimeter crashes??Except for 4 or 5 medevac patients last year.
What was the reason they couldn't get a medevac contract in Nunavut again?
Does a Paramedic quit the day he loses a patient? I know it must be hard for anyone to deal with, but they have to find a way to get through it in order to save other people.
I understand that Skyward and Perimeter are competitors but you never heard a Skyward guy/girl get on here and say "servers them right!!!"
I guess thats the difference in being professionals and being a dick!!

Good job Stu, you went from showing a little class by admitting you were wrong a few days ago to this. Well done! I'm never surprised when someone sticks their foot in their mouth on this site; but it really warms the cockles of my heart when someone manages to get both feet in there. Congratulations on a job well done.
OOOPs eh? Almost as bad as the comments you made about that guy's wife needing to get checked fore STDs.
Say again: OOOPS. Goddam submit button!

That's pretty ironic. Another one post wonder comes on to give a guy $hit for talking trash about a company...and does the same thing himself in the same post.i heard you guys had to shut another engine down in thompson 2 days ago... so .. that's 3 in..what...almost 4 months?
That was pretty cheap though STU.

Better check your facts on that comment... I believe you were beaten by a company who had a higher bid in place but when it comes to air medical service contracts... money isn't what matters most.Kandi wrote:s (and we lost the Nunavut contract because we were underbid.
Hope you get flying soon.

I'm still not 100% sure why K9 is where it is. I am quite certain though that the outcome of the audit was beyond the control of the CP and the Ops Man. Both are good guys and hold their department to high standards.
So do hookers, pimps, and drug dealers, does that automatically make their opinion more important too?...I make more money than most of you
