mexican visa's

Post by Starting 4 »

When will the Mexican's retaliate and require visa's for all Canadian's? I'm guessing if that happens the holiday package industry will take a bit of a hit.

I really doubt that would be an option for the Mexican government; their pocketbooks would hurt too much.

If the Mexicans were to do a cost/benefit analysis, I think they would find the cost would far outweigh the benefits, given the amount of Canadian travellers to Mexico. For that same reason, a number of countries do not apply a principle of reciprocity towards Canadian travellers (in other words, Canadians do not require a visa to visit their country whereas their nationals require a visa to visit Canada).

I say that despite my gut reaction that what Canada did is extremely stupid and deserves to be smacked back one way or another.
