702 Chief Pilots
Hi 702 Chief Pilots,
I have recently been offered the chief pilot position for a 702 company. Just curious what the pay is for this position???
Thanks in advance

Re: 702 Chief Pilots
Perhaps you should ask the person who offered you the job.

Way too vague a question for an intelligent answer.Sask boy wrote:Hi 702 Chief Pilots,

It is just a small operation, they only fly about 250 hours a year.
pm me and I can tell you more.

At least $100,000 maybe more depending on the work load.

What kind of 702 stuff? Aerial application? Aerial Patrol? Aerial observation? Aerial construction? Aerial firefighting? Aerial photo? Jumper dumper? There's lots of stuff that falls under 702. Ya gotta be a bit more specific.

I would like to be more specific but I don't want to name the company.....It is on your list.Check Pilot wrote:What kind of 702 stuff? Aerial application? Aerial Patrol? Aerial observation? The company does about $150,000/year gross with five pilots all part time, all paid very little.
Most 702 chief pilots are just chief pilots on paper, but even at that the company should pay for your name to be on the Operators Certificate.
$100,000 for me and $50,000 for them....I like that

You don't have to name a company or even where you are. If you want an answer to your question you need to make it known as to what kind of operation you might be looking at.

Of course I don't think it is a paper position, just saying that there are a lot of guys out there that think it is.Clearwater wrote:Sask boy,
If you really feel that supervising five 702 pilots is just a paper position perhaps you should do a little more research into what the job entails. Maybe you are not the person for the job.
You might also note that the CPs name does not appear on an AOC.
Lets not split hairs about the AOC. Whoever is in the position is responsible to the other pilots, the company and TC.
I would still like some serious feedback to my original question. I have a price in mind but just curious what other 702 chief pilots are making in the position.
