whats up with this?
I wonder if snopes.com has a page on this rumour. I have been hearing it for about 3 years now, that Perimeter is planning on buying Keewatin. In the past year alone I have heard on 2 separate occasions that Perimeter had bought Keewatin. Interesting discussion over a cold one definitley, but I won't beleive it until I see the Pilatuses painted green.

Perimeter
Schlem, you are a moron. Skyward may not be dead but are badly broken and will not likely be doing much anytime soon other than eating Kraft dinner bought with nickels found by the groomers between the seats of the remaing C182.
The Keewatin rumour has been floating around since before Christmas and while it isn't totally out to lunch, a Perimeter takeover may be a long time coming. They are reluctant to diversify outside of the Garret and outfitting used Metros takes a lot of time.
Even if the Perimeter take over of Manitoba were true, do you guys have any idea how long such a huge expansion of operations would take? I sure as hell don't but I know that it would be at least 12-18 months before even the slightest increase in hiring/effect on the immediate industry would be felt. Perimeter will continue to expand in Manitoba and take advantage of their competitors mistakes (Skyward). Buying up all the competition really means taking over someone else's problems. Why not just run them over with your own success and let the bank sort out the bloody remains when they fail? And really, is there ever a business that operates with no competition? If they buy Skyward/Keewatin someone else will inevitably emerge and everything will start all over again.
Once again, my 2 cents--but you'll have to wait until next payday to actually see the money. Aviation pay isn't what it used to be....

Schlem
Schlem, I know you were joking as was I--it is hard to type with a sarcastic tone of voice. I hope we can be friends over a bowl of KD someday.

That's what the smilies are for... I didn't use them because my post was so rediculous that I didn't think they were needed.see-why-wg wrote:Schlem, I know you were joking as was I--it is hard to type with a sarcastic tone of voice. I hope we can be friends over a bowl of KD someday.
I've never worked for Skyward and KD isn't in my diet... a 22 oz Porterhouse from Hy's is more like it though.
