Who owns Jazz? Who leases their fleet, who makes the payments on these leases? Air Canada? What exactly is Jazz? If Air Canada were not to re-instate the CPA after 15, where does Jazz stand? If Air Canada goes tits up, where does Jazz stand?
Thanks

...Seems they are going to remove the axe and the control column from the cockpits for security reasons.

Re: Dumb question...
Jazz Air LP is owned by the income trust, which is owned by the public. The planes are each owned by their own leasing companies which I believe are owned by AC. I doubt AC would not renew the contract- there are very few companies that could do what we do on this scale (US companies would need a YYZ base or a small base in all our US destinations). If AC goes TU, Jazz's contract would be canceled, but since people still need to fly and Jazz still is around, I'm sure Jazz would pick up the slack.Redwine wrote:Who owns Jazz? Is it still called "Air Canada Jazz"? was it ever?
I always thought Jazz was just the regional feeder for AC?.....
...but more importantly, does a flying seat with Jazz give you better chances of getting on with AC? Do they post job openings "internally" with Jazz before going outside? Or does flying for Jazz have the same pull as say, flying for any other airline?
