Re: Air Georgian
There resume submitted count went down from 1200's to 500's. I wonder what type of time guys are coming in with.

Interview is pretty straight forward. Usually done with the CP and his assistant. Mostly questions about you and your flying experience.
Sim eval is pretty straight forward. SID, climb, steep turn, get comfortable, hold, approach, land (don’t crash) and your done.
Starting F/O pay $26,900. Starting Capt pay $45,000. 11 days off a month.
1500 tt with IATRA usually gets you an interview. They have a mentor program. They have been taking 1 or 2 250 hr guys in every ground school that are a graduate of a college program however, they just hired a low time guy from the office who didn’t go to a college...so who knows what’s the plan now.
Hope this helps.
Good Luck.

Re: Air Georgian
does anyone know if submitting your application to their online database is the only way to apply, for those of us who do not have any contacts within their company?
Is the online application just a blackhole for resumes? I've had my application in there for months and still not one recruiter view. (2000TT with atpl's written).
thanks.

Yes, if you don’t know anybody the best way to get on is through the online database. As of late I think they have a hiring pool going. They’ll do the interview, sim eval….and if successful place you in a pool until the next available G/S. There has been guys who have waited six months from their sim eval to G/S. The hiring has been a bit inconsistent this past year due to the economy…..they’re having a hard time predicting hiring levels. Although big red isn’t taking anyone, they’ve been losing a lot of F/O’s to Porter.
Hope this helps.

Don't bet on the mentor program. Except for one internal hire lately, they haven't hired anyone for that program since last summer. They definitely aren't hiring one or two every GS..... where did you get that info?av8tor_assrope wrote: 1500 tt with IATRA usually gets you an interview. They have a mentor program. Yeah, but how many ground schools have they actually had since last summer? Maybe if things pick up there will be opportunities for internal low-timers in the next year.C206Pilot wrote: Don't bet on the mentor program.
