What helicopter would you buy?
I know what a lot of you are thinking. "I wouldnt buy any helicopter, there is better things to spend money on"
or something to that effect.
BUT if you where going to buy a small helicopter, what would be the best one to get?
Schweizer 300
Enstrom F-28
R44
R22
Bell47---
??
or something to that effect.

Re: What hellicopter would you buy?
The 22 and 300 are in a different league than the 47 and 44. They are basically training machines with just enough payload to perform that function. The 47 is a wonderful, classic machine, but parts and maintenance are an issue now after all of these years. The Robinson’s are the easiest to maintain and support is excellent! If you are in the Edmonton area and want to sit in and see a nice new R44, PM me.

You haven't said anything about what you want to do with a small helicopter, so how can anyone give you proper advice? Or were you talking about a helicopter for MSFS?
It's hard to take seriously a request about purchasing expensive equipment when the person asking cannot spell "helicopter".

Yes I guess you are right. BUT I can not seem to figure out how to edit that out.
Maybe one of the mods could help me out (thanx)

I have been thinking about buying a 'flying machine' for some time. It most likely will be of the fixed-wing kind.
But you never know so I thought I would ask.
-MSFS?- ??

How about a Rotoway Exec? I've always thought those are pretty good machines and they've had good reviews.
Never seen one in the flesh though.
They built their own engine which is quite a feat for an A/C manufacturer.
Pricing's not too unreasonable either.

Re: What helicopter would you buy?
yup
I like the Rotoway Exec.
BUT if you talk to the high time rotor guys they do not seem to like them.
AND I do not have the room (hanger or garage) to build one.
Or the time. Maybe some day.

I use X-plane. I find the bigger machines are easier to fly. I last about 15 seconds in the R22, 30 in the 206, but I can fly (and land!) the Sea King or the Blackhawk all day.
Geez did I say that....? Or just think it....?
Re: What helicopter would you buy?
My pick is the hughes 500. Always loved the look of that machine. But I guess a $500k machine is out of the league of the list at the start of this post.
