Harv's Air IFR GS
I hear aerocourse is the best...but for someone who wants a slower paced ground school, I was looking at Harv's Air online groundschool. Any opinions from people who have taken it would be a big help

Consider your own learning style. I signed up for it, used it for reference when I needed some extra reassurance on topics. It will give you lots of info on all areas, especially the GPS section (HINT HINT HINT WINK) haha
Remember you don't need a letter of recommend to write the INRAT. I gained most of my knowledge by picking up the Pultz binder for $100 and 10 hours reading on a flight to Honolulu.

Re: Harv's Air IFR GS
I reviewed Harv's ATPL eGroundschool. It combined different methods of presentation, and the material was factually correct. It included videos of classroom work, and overall, was a good delivery. I would be inclined if I was starting over, to give a good look at their offerings, since they tended to give more than the Exam stuff, but practical things that were going to be useful over and above the written. Many on-line offerings tend to not do much more than get you through the written, and then leave you hanging when you try, during the learning for a particular rating to answer all those "So how the heck does that work?" stuff.

Should have mentioned that too.. Out of any resource I have used the Harv's Pilottraining.ca website made those iffy topics you read about in books very very clear. You will get the facts, and reasoning behind it. It is great to that A+B=AB, but it is even better to know why.
If you did their ground school alone you would be more than prepared for the INRAT.

I did their PPL groundschool online and loved it. Lots of material from slides and document resources, to videos of actual classroom groundschool along with videos and briefings for air exercises. I'm currently doing their IFR groundschool online and have only good things to say about it so far as well.
Re: Harv's Air IFR GS
I had the pleasure of taking Harv's Air online groundschool back in 2003 and it worked for me. I was not home every week and going to a FTU would have taken too long, missing some and then catching them later. You'll miss the people part though.
