looking for specs (BE20, B1900C)

Post by 4930s »

Hi all,

I am looking for someone who can help with a few specs on the B1900C and the BE20.

Engines?
Fuel Burn?
TAS for flight planing?
OEW (cargo)?
Fuel Capacity?
Does the king air 200 have a cargo door or just an airstair, or is there a mod for such a thing?

Thanks

Google can help you with most of those questions , the 200 does have a mod for a cargo door

Engines - 200 - PT6-41 1900c PT6-60
Fuel Burn - 200 - 800lbs first hour 600 lbs 2nd hour - 1900c 1000lbs 1st - 800lbs 2nd
TAS - Varies depending on engines, airframe etc but typically around 245 - 255 for both (in my experience - I once flew a 200 that would easily do 270)
OEW - 200 - could likely get down to 7500lbs with no seats and no auto pilot etc - 1900c 9500lbs (ish)
FUEL - 200 - 3600 - 1900C 4400

There is a cargo door mod out there for the 200, i don't know if it was factory installed or installed afterwards. Its rare to see though.

I haven't flown the 200 for awhile and most of my time is on a 'D' model 1900 so my numbers could be abit off but I think they are pretty close.

Cheers

Engines on the B200 are -42's and a typical TAS would be 280kts. Have seen 290kts on a number of occasions.

There is a mod for a cargo door but they also came from the factory as 200C's. They carry a "BL" serial number and there were 141 that went out the factory door between 1979 and 2006. There are examples on the resale market cuurently such as http://www.controller.com/listings/airc ... 133438.htm

the cargo door did come from Beech. It's called the B200C. Tindi has one. Makes loading fat bastard on a stretcher a little easier but you have a lower max diff on cabin pressure.

Always liked the "hatch back," ATL's also had the -42's.

200s empty can be as light as 7500 pounds will all the stuff removed or as heavy as 8500 pounds for a B200 with modern avionics.

If you are running straight freight, don't use a 200. Go with the 1900.

You will lose at least 1/3 of cabin volume in a 200 with having to leave space for the crew to get from the door to the cockpit and back. (unless yer doin bag runs with less than 1000lbs payload and have a pod). The Hunny has the airstair door up front just aft of the cockpit, so you can stuff her to the gunnels.

There are two types of 1900 in the current freight market (GGN had the only 1900D freighter I've ever seen and it wasn't airworthy last time I saw it..). The 1900B (serial number UB) has a much smaller fuel capacity of 2900 lbs but retains the same GTW as the 1900C (serial UC)

1900C will burn about 100lb/hour more than the 200 with about the same block time (especially ovey the shorter distances).

Cheers
