CIAS Toronto airshow schedule?
Does anybody know the schedule for the airshow this weekend? Specifically I'd like to know when the Blue Angels perform. (I tried requesting a schedule from the website/newsletter but have not received anything yet)
Thanks
Thanks

Re: CIAS Toronto airshow schedule?
http://twitter.com/asbtv Air Show announcer Loni Anderson posting twitter updates through out each day of the show.
Note; the updated list has excluded Fat Albert the Blue Angel C-130, I watched it take off at Pearson yesterday, it did
the infamous military departure its known for, 45 degree departure to 1500 feet . . .

Re: CIAS Toronto airshow schedule?
It was awfully nice of the Fat Albert pilot to advise Tower he could launch off a few aircraft that were holding short..
Too bad the Controller seemed to think that wasn't important. Guess the guys are busy enjoying their own personal airshow to worry about tight airline fuel policies and incurring additional delays for everyone..

CFABH...if you knew the absolute pain in the a*** the airshow is each year for controllers then you might be a bit more sympathetic.Guess the guys are busy enjoying their own personal airshow to worry about tight airline fuel policies and incurring additional delays for everyone..
Both tower and terminal had their hands full this year with some of the stunts being pulled. "Tight airline fuel policies" are one of several issues that are being thought of at the time.....quite often this year though it was "Where the **** is that guy going and why is he not talking to me!".
As always visits to the tower and centre are encouraged. During the airshow would be a good idea as an outside voice would lend a greater perspective to all angles.

Re: CIAS Toronto airshow schedule?
I can certainly understand, especially given the many difficulties in operating at YYZ on a daily basis (not pointing any fingers or blame there, and seriously mean that).Married a Canadian wrote:CFABH...if you knew the absolute pain in the a*** the airshow is each year for controllers then you might be a bit more sympathetic.
Heard one or two things that made me say WTF
