I love that plane except for the increased fuel burn, how many fuel stops did you guys have to make? Interested in another perspective on the fuel burn as I've really only taken that plane as far as Campbell River and I refueled for the return leg out of paranoia. I had been extremely vigilante about leaning the mixture as best I could but I also was taking the VERY scenic route there and back so I had only half tanks at Campbell River.

We topped em back up in Lillooet and were good till we got back home. I checked the POH for it while in the back seat, seems the fuel burn is actually fractionally LESS than the 172S.
