When is a sensible time to start studying for the IATRA. Does it expire if you dont fly multi crew plane? How good does it look on a resume?
Thanks

Re: When to get IATRA
FWIW, I'd study and get it as soon as you can (250 hours?) I don't think that it expires, and if you are offered a job that requires one, then you won't have to wait...there's no downside to having it.
Say, what's that mountain goat doing up here in the mist?

I think it's the same as the ATL exams... expires in 2 years if you don't get a type rating on a 2 crew machine...North Shore wrote:I don't think that it expires
But how much is it? $25 or something? If you are applying for jobs that operate 2 crew aircraft and it makes the difference in getting you hired than it's worth it... if you end up not using it at least it was cheap.....
