It's pretty pathetic when the British army tries to play the homophobic card to convict a housewife who beats up members of their "elite" regiment. It reminds me of when a 17 year old reservist in the South Saskatchewan Rifles beat up two SAS troopers who got mouthy with him in the wet mess at Camp Wainwright. Legends in their own mind.

That sounds like it was quite a Christmas Party.

Here's the line in the story that I thought was quite telling ...
"Ashley and husband Bill — who had part of his nose bitten off in the fight — told the Vancouver Sun Thursday that the allegations against her were false."

In my younger days, I was in a few dust-ups in the mess .. especially after drinking dark rum (the violence nectar) ... but I never saw anybody get a part of their nose bitten off ... must have been a good time!

Oh, and aerobat ... those Brits should have thanked their lucky stars it was one of the SSR guys and not "the toughies" from the North Saskatchewan Regt ... especially those B Company characters from PA.

This is a husband and wife team not to be messed with. Here's a link to her husband Bill's website.

If Bill got a chunk of his nose bit off, I can only imagine how the other guy must have ended up looking and feeling. He's likely got joints he never knew he had. Bill was RSM for the Seaforth Highlanders in Vancouver, a lower mainland cop, and known globally as one of the top guys in close quarters battle.

I don't know if I'd go so far as to say our finest, but he does have the ones you mentioned beat, hands down.
~4 years in and no major screw ups, that is a better track record than most recent PMs.
I just cringe to think what will happen when the surviving Trudeau takes the reins of the Liberals.

Thanks,

That has to be the funniest thing I've ever read. You're comparing steve to Trudeau, Crouton, and Mulroney? That is seriously laughable.

No screw up's? Interesting viewpoint.

Finest PM? Good God, the man has done next to nothing, including failing to even win a majority, finest???

If Harper's body of work thus far is all it takes to win over the voting public in Canada, we are indeed in trouble.

I'm gonna vote for him. You don't have to.
F that Im from BC im voting NDP. Apparently we both are as those scum-suckers (conservatives) will pander to the strength of the west just to maintain their hooks in the throne.

Thank you Mr. Jack Layton for being the most powerful man in Canada.

*snicker*

Jack could have gained more seats at the expense of the libs had he allowed another election... and Harper would have finally had a majority.
