Moving to YVR

Post by navajo_jay »

Hi guys and girls,

I'm moving in YVR from YUL next month, and I'm going this week on trip to find an appartment. I was wondering if you guys have a suggestion where to look. I was looking in Burnaby and Surrey. How long is the commute time when there is traffic? Looks like there's not lot of highways. Can you take the skytrain to go to the airport from Surrey?

Thanks

Jay

Dude, give yourself a chance at enjoying YVR living. Don't move to Surrey or Burnaby. If you have wheels I'd suggests Kits, lots going on, close to downtown, beach and relatively close to the airport. If you don't have a car Mount Pleasant is a nice area and you have the Canada Line that takes you right to the airport. If you want to go on the cheap, I know some people who live in Marpole (south vancouver / just north of the airport across the Arthur Lang bridge) that are happy there.

Now if I ever end up in YQB on an overnight, what do I need to take in?

Thanks
