West Jet Non stop YYC to HNL and Maui

Post by ez4u2say »

I see that WJ is planning non stop flights starting in March from YYC...anyone got any idea of how they plan on doing this with their present aircraft type or are there news ones coming with extra tank capacity. ... been out of the business quite a while, but that a fair stretch to cover for the a/c types they now operate..

No larger aircraft, the word is that the flights will be capped at ~96 seats.

Will the other seats have 45 gallon drums of Jet-A in them?

Will the pax object to having to work the wobble pumps?
Gravity feed and 8+ psid for the head pressure, the EDPs will do the rest. No smoking please! :D

Replace seats with rubber fuel bladders. The pressure from the fat tourists sitting on them should push enough fuel into the tanks. No need for pumping. :-)

I saw Willie Walsh speak at a lunch on Thursday. When asked what he thought about low cost airlines, he said,

"Low cost airlines promise no service. Their passengers expect no service. And they consistently deliver no service."

Maybe they can get the cabin crew to play games with the passengers. Everybody jump. This would lighten the load and make operating a 737 on a 7 hour plus leg feasible. Otherwise I hope the Calgary passengers like views of the Golden Gate bridge.
