Actually, that wasn't hollywood, it was real camouflage used by the U.S. government during WW2. They were worried about the factories in the US getting bombed (seriously) so they built all of this camoflage around a lot of the factories. I saw an article about this in Flight Journal a few years back with similar pictures of a different factory. Pretty crazy.Gotta love Hollywood. I suppose with modern tech it would all be C.G.!?

The plant/strip was located in Burkland, LA county in Cali. That's less then 10km or so from Universal studios in Hollywood. Surely their proximity helped with getting all those props on the roof (even if the army corp of engineers set it up).tiggermoth wrote:Actually, that wasn't hollywood, it was real camouflage used by the U.S. government during WW2. At least that's my opinion, and that's what I was referring to by Hollywood.

Ahh, i gotcha. The pics in the magazine article I saw was of a plant in New York State I believe, but it was very similar. The plant/strip was located in Burkland, LA county in Cali. That's less then 10km or so from Universal studios in Hollywood. Surely their proximity helped with getting all those props on the roof (even if the army corp of engineers set it up).
