flight training
hello everyone, i have a question relating my training hopefully someone can answer.
i am a canadian citizen holding a valid PPL. i attended a flight school in ontario to continue through to my commercial license and shortly after we finished the CPL ground school the place is going under. So i have decided on a school in florida to finish my training. i understand that when i receive my FAA CPL and IFR there will be a conversion test to transfer it to TC. correct? ... and what about the canadian IATRA. once ive converted the license over to Transport Canada and meet the hour requirements can i write the canadian IATRA even though i initially trained in the US? .. thanks alot

Re: flight training
Hey, good choice on the Florida thing. Yes you need to convert to TC by means of an examination (or maybe more than one, but if you do a good search here you will find all the answers you are looking for because this topic has been explored a lot already here)
As far as the IATRA, after you convert and provided that you meet all the licencing requirements, then you can write it no problem.
Which school in Florida are you going to attend?

Timing is everything.

Re: flight training
I recommend you go to the pprune.org web site and search for USA schools. Many EU students have gone to the US for training and their experiences good and bad are extensively covered in numerous threads.
