im sure you'e heard of linus pauling, Noble peace prize winner, He was one of the most influential chemists in history and ranks among the most important scientists in any field of the 20th century[1][2]. who achieved that prize for his work on vitmain C, he recommended very high doses all the way up to 20000mgs/day, i think that may be too much for normal people but i certainly think we should all strive for at least 2000 mgs/day and ultimatly try to get up to 8000mg/day

Please post a peer-reviewed study confirming the benefits of orthomolecular health.

You made the claim, edit-Lil, support it or everyone will (correctly) ignore it.

Please state your medical qualification, which you used to come to the conclusion that vitamin C cured skin cancer. and list the case study, since this would be very significant, and would have garnered significan fame for the doctors involved in the case.

Do you know why anecdotal evidence is ignored?

So instead of using medicine and therapies which have been subjected to testing and double-blind scientific studies, you'd rather rely on techniques which have been shown to be no more effective than a placebo?

Edit-Lil. You've demonstrated an inability to think rationally about what you're advocating, and a complete inability to use critical thinking. The problems with your arguments, in this thread and others, have been pointed out over and over. You're currently advocating medical treatments which will not only put those who follow them at risk, due to not pursuing effective treatments, and due to the side effects of the ineffective therapies you advocate, but also those around them, by reducing the herd immunity which is attained with high levels of vaccination. Edit-Lil you're advocating harm.

Your argument that you know a guy who was cured of cancer with vitamin C is without merit. You won't cite the case study of this (and there would be one if this had happened). You won't cite any peer-reviewed studies firmly demonstrating the efficacy of vitamin C in treating cancer. You won't provide any evidence that you arn't simply pulling it out of your ass.

You're also unable to apply Occam's Razor to see that a grand conspiracy involving virtually all of the medical community advocating harmful or ineffective treatments in lieu of cheap, simple cures in order to increase profits is incredibly unlikely.

3 years ago, Chinese calendar year of the cow . . . Mad Cow disease.

2 years ago, Chinese calendar year of the bird . . . Asian flu.

This year, Chinese calendar year of the pig . . . Swine flu.
Next year is the year of the cock . . . Anybody else worried?

Both our kids got one. We will get ours as soon as the vaccines for the rest of us show up. Never had a flu shot in my life, but I am getting one this time...

If you are in a position where you come in contact with many people in a confined environment (airplane?)

Or a doctors office!!! Waiting in line with a bunch of others (some reports in the 100's) for that vaccine, increasing your risk of exposure greatly, and possibly still falling ill because you contracted the virus after you walked past the crowd exiting the doctors office; after being vaccinated even. The irony knows no ends.

the morally correct thing to do is get vaccinated. If not for your own health, you will easily become a carrier and continue to spread it, even if you don't become ill yourself.
