Mine arent nearly of the calibre of LH`s but..Amy Sky, Blue Rodeo, Glen Clark (BC Premier), Phil Fontaine (is he famous?) and of course Jill Krop
Fly safe all, Cheers
LH.. You flew Bob Hope!? How cool would that have been to meet him! Was it a charter or sked? Chit chat or just a smile? Intresting nonetheless.

flyinthebug ------Bob Hope I did when I was flying in 'Nam"........and they didn't ask me if I wanted to either
. Had a short chit-chat with him with a thank-you for a good flight, he cracked a joke and that was it. I was border-line rude because I had a hard time keeping my eyes off of Ann-Margaret. The rest were all cases of the personalities needing a large helicopter to get them from an airport to an area where they were going to perform. Olivia Newton-John was Calgary......a real woman and a real sweetheart; Linda Ronsteadt was Calgary also.......got a mouth like a Marine Corps Sgt/Major and treats those that work for her like shit; Tom Jones.......real great guy and the one that I had the most inter-action with because he was playing a snooker game in Oliver, BC with a close friend for a $10,000 bet and he'd already lost the first game to him at his home in England. Served me and the co-jo food, joked and talked with us while they were playing (3hrs) and you'd have never known he was a star of anything. Even got an invite to his home if and when I was ever in "jolly old"(I doubt if that will ever happen). Trudeau........NOT at all what one might think. I'll put him in the same class of guy as I think Clint Eastwood might be......... straight-up, no bullshit guy.....and very intelligent in "street-smart" way.

Well, geez..
Jean Charest when he was running for PM - was in a fishing lodge on the Mackenzie with his son. "Hi, I'm Jean" he said - at least he was friendly
Capt. I was flying with put it best as we taxiied out on the river:
"Nothing but fear, common sense and the Reform Party holding us back now!"
Oh.. I *DID* see Gordon Lightfoot in Grand Junction, CO and Julia Roberts in Taos.. across the ramp!

Courage is the price that life exacts for granting peace. The soul that knows it not, knows no release from the little things; knows not the livid loneliness of fear, nor mountain heights where bitter joy can hear the sound of wings.

We won't even mention the hypocracy of Mr Tree Hugger himself going on charter flights instead of finding other, more environmentally friendly ways to travel.water wings wrote: david suzuki (i'm sure he was thrilled with the amount of black crap coming out of the engines)

Dog teams are bad, they poop and stuff and the Inu never scoop.water wings wrote:Suzuki..it was in the arctic...all the dog teams were booked, i guess.

I flew Danny Glover around down in Haiti, some high ranking goverment people from some governments in the Caribbean, (couldn't say who) most of what passes for the SWAT team in Haiti, and....I think that's all the famous people that I have flown. Which isn't a whole lot.
Danny Glover was a really nice guy, I don't think he had any toe nails, but nice man. Said thank you for the flight, very much down to earth. I wouldn't have known it was him unless he introduced himself.
Cheers,
