Okay well I know how messed up this industry is, but man does it burn me when I hear this. It must belong with this big headed ego I see everyone walking around with, all while and for the most part, a wage that barely keeps a roof over our families head.
So news is starting to flow about how a particular airline that went belly up last year. It's that certain management in the flight and cabin departments. They had made a list for the very few airlines hiring (Porter, CanJet, Sunwing) of "who" and "who not" to hire from Zoom. Once again a great example of our industries integrity... Not only are we spineless, we're also two faced back stabbing professional. Is it not bad enough with the industry screwing us that we also need to insert knives in each others back? I love how some clicks develop and try and treat this already to small of an industry like a private club for the cool kids, military kids, alcoholics, etc...
What's worse is when I talk to someone who can make a change and help a mutual friend, but is still to influenced by someone that doesn't even work at the same airline as us but is still making shots.
Does anyone in any airline management have any kind of management education? It's quite apparent that this power struggle is simply just more incompetent people protecting themselves.

An unfortunate, seedy, distastful fact of life I'm afraid. Even some of the respected management in this country is guilty of it. Won't say who but you know who you are.
