Supersonic Colors

I was browsing the intertubes when this particular instrument color code caught my eye. Further browsing hasn't shed much light on the topic.
I'm referring to the colors in the bottom right quadrants of the N2 gauges (top row of the center console). The green, green/yellow, blue, blue/yellow.
So what do these represent?


Here is another picture. In this one, engine 1 and engine 3 have apparently switched colors. One can also better make out three annunciation lights, with the same green, yellow, blue above each gauge.


The overhead panel also shows the same color codes on the left side. I was able to find out that this is the "hydraulic selector", but nothing more. Surely these are related.


Also, I haven't seen this color coding in other planes, so maybe its directly related to supersonic flight.
Any info, better images, links, etc will be appreciated.

Yeah its a Concorde.
When I first wrote the post I had a line about it being a Concorde. Then I took it out thinking: 'Thats just gonna look lame. Everyone will know what it is.'

And speaking of the B1, I took a look and didn't see anything resembling this color code.

Dunno for sure but i'm gonna guess system repersentation,

IE blue hydraulics run off number one engine

Green and yellow off number two

ETC....

And most switches would be color coded to match what power plant or gen they get there pwr or hydraulic from.

Might it have something to do with the engine intakes? IIRC, they have moveable 'ramps' in the intakes to slow the intake air to subsonic speeds before it enters the engines.
I'd second BPF's suggestion, though. Someone on PPRUNE would know for sure..

Considering if those colors are denoting a power setting, it's outside the red line, and I can't see that being ok in any phase of flight, supersonic or not. I think Fish nailed it. Something to do with systems.

These colours indicate the hydraulic system which has a pump driven by that engine.
Engine 1: Green Only
Engine 2: Green plus Yellow
Engine 3: Blue Only
Engine 4: Blue plus Yellow

The guys at BA never referred to Concorde as "the Concorde". They refer it it simply as Concorde. As in "I take Concorde on Monday" or "We're happy with the loads on Concorde."

Does it not bring a tear to one's eye when you think how perhaps 'less cool' it is today when something as inspiring as Concorde, the Saturn V, Thunderbirds ("are go"), and other such inspirations for young kids such as ourselves have not been replaced for another generation?

I stood in awe, a 10 year old, as the firct Vickers VC10 did a low pass curving around with me at the centre of its turn... Inspiring.
I grew up with Gerry Anderson with Fireball XL5 through to Thunderbirds with many aircraft looking like sleeker versions of that VC10!
I was awestruck again as a 20 year old in that old factory at Brooklands where once Vickers Vimy bombers rolled down the line to be replaced now by the final five Concorde fuselages, and I had to learn all about CM materials; special aluminium alloys developed for this aircraft.
I was fascinated at Dobbins where the super secret F22 fighter was being put together to be seen from a distance... It was like a scene out of Star Wars.
Those were exciting times... Replaced now by artificial, computer generated images of what could be...

Have we lost our impetus to create novel machines in which we can experience?

That was a vintage aeroplane while Concorde was on the drawing board!

The replacement for this secret weapon is so secret that nobody even knows its name.
