The ending is the jump-off point for the entire reverse metaphor. Subtle homosexuality, representing the luxurious privilege of establishing a hidden socialist state, will always be more successful then the handicapped principle of presenting the actual blunt ideology and structure of whichever counterpart, representative of the unprecedentedly large bundling of sticks that was the USSR.

I asked the usual question about what got you interested in flying ?
This guy said because he saw Top Gun seventy two times and watches it every chance he gets.
When i asked him if he ever watched it with the subtitles on he was puzzled.If you watch the movie with the sub-titles on the actual script proves the main theme of the movie.
Watch it with the sub-titles on ,then decide .

Not as subtle or funny as some of the old western movies and the angst of the "Hero"
