Off-course
So an aircraft I commonly rent (IFR aircraft with two VORs) are both out of wack. Both with-in tolerances but one is right of center, and other is left of center when tuning the VOT.
Lets say for experimenting purposes I want to find out which one is closer to accurate (on the correct side of the radial) , do the ATC terminal, and en-route displays have the victor airways drawn out on the screen for me to request that information from the controller?

Re: Off-course
Of course, we have most airways displayed, usually the most commonly used ones and if it isn't on the map it is very easy to draw using an RBL (range bearing line) from the fix on the exact radial for the airway.

Re: Off-course
Fly the airway VFR and use a VNC to see your location and then look at your VOR's....
Re: Off-course
That works if you can ask ATC it will be quicker and more accurate!
Re: Off-course
I thought NavCanada decommissioned all the VOTs?!arictaylor wrote:So an aircraft I commonly rent (IFR aircraft with two VORs) are both out of wack. Both with-in tolerances but one is right of center, and other is left of center when tuning the VOT.

I didn't say this was recent
But, but even after they were "decommissioned" I was picking the YWG VOT up. So not sure whats going on with that one.
