There are some incredible dogfight scenes in this film. In one shot I counted at least 35 biplanes in one big dog fight, with all kinds of spins, spirals and other crazy things going on. I don't know much about aerobatics but it looked very horny! I wonder if you would get away with stunts like that today.
After reading all the depressing messages on this forum last night I was convinced I would have to win the lotto just to buy a F/O position on a 182. Today I went and bought a lotto ticket.[/url]

For sure dude, a great wwI aviation flick. And you're right about the aerobatics, its pretty hairy, they lost at least 3 guys making the film, and Hughes himself spun a plane into the ground while making the movie. Love the Zepplin scenes.
As for the 182 FO position....I'd never hire you.

I like airplanes.
I seen the movie the Aviator and thought it was great but Mr. Hughes was not, i bet he wasn't even a good pilot. But he did alright fighting for TWA and Leonardo was perfect for the role. And I just watched Broken Arrow which is a movie about a disgruntled air force pilot who steals a nuke and Christian Slater fights him, saves the southwest and falls for a girl. Sooo...what else is a good movie?
