Re: Cat Driver: How Accurate is This?
First off whoever posted that video used a picture of the Dutch Cat and that was sure not the way I taught them to start a PBY.
If one were to follow that starting procedure and actually got it going before it caught fire from over priming they would have been lucky.

If a pilot walked into a forest and had to make a decision, and no one from AVCANADA was there. Would the pilot still be wrong?

Sure now, why would you want to do that? Most societies despise informants. Where do you live?kiloindiapapa wrote:Whats with the last dudes comments about the united states? Anyone know where to report such words to the authorities?

I'm pretty sure kiloindiapapa was referring to a written comment by 669backstab in the comment section below the video.

Re: Cat Driver: How Accurate is This?
AAhhh thanks istp, I missed reading that part, after seeing the video I was not interested in the rest of it.
There are so many inaccuracies in the starting procedures that I felt it was not worth commenting on.
Who advises these people on these issues?
For sure that video has it quite wrong.
In the written comments someone commented that they set the left mixture for the right engine, obviously no one knows what they are talking about because whoever made the video at least moved the correct fuel selector and mixture lever for the right engine.
