Foreign Nationals flying for Canjet?

I don't suppose you feel its wrong for all the Canucks working at Emirates,Etihad,Qatar, Gulf Air, China Air Lines, Korean, All Nippon to be working there do you. I know far more guys working overseas fulltime than there are contract pilots at Camjet.
Oh and for the record some of these guys worked at Sunwing last year so how is it OK for them.

Canjet does hire prop guys, im one of them. Infact the class before me were mostly King Air drivers. Since Zoom went under Canjet has mostly hired from that pool. The rest of the pilot group reside mostly from Jetsgo, Harmony, C-3, Air Atlantic and other doomed airlines. Not to mention the guys from AC/Jazz that are here on leave.

I've got over 5000 hours and tons of jet time, I never even got an INTERVIEW! I appreciate some guys playing the devils advocate, but until Canjet CALLS ME for an interview, they're just being PICKY and don't WANT to hire guys in Canada, for whatever reason is irrelevant. I respect that fact until the second THEY HIRE FOREIGN PILOTS and complain there aren't any "qualified" Pilots to take and train. (you may as well add "space shuttle time is a requirement" in their advertisement, just to make sure they don't have to hire Canadians) Its cheap and disgusting and I hope the government realizes they've been taken for a ride and come down hard on them for it. We need to nip this in the bud, or how many float drivers, fire detection guys, etc are going to be SOL in the spring because they're not "qualified" anymore and the owner/operators can have Europeans come over, pay for their training, then hire them on as "qualified" pilots. Lots of European and American Pilots I've spoken to would love to "fly the Bush" for a season getting experience and many can pay for it.

Maybe it has something to do with your attitude?? I'm sure airlines LOVE to hire people that rant on public forums

What exactly is the reason for the extreme requirements of Canadian Airlines?

I have looked up a few Canadian Airlines and they all seem to be wanting you to have a minimum of 3000+ Hours.
That's hell of a lot in my eyes...
