Uncontrolled Field Procedures
Will someone please provide me with a description of standard radio calls to be made at uncontrolled field for a VFR departure? I'd like to know what the requirements are and in which document I can find them. I am pursuing a conversion of my FAA Certificates to TC Licenses. On the written test there was a question that presented the scenario (departing VFR from an uncontrolled/untowered field) with answers from "at take off and before departing the area" (my choice which apparently was wrong), to "every time I make the slightest change in the airplane" (EXAGGERATION OF COURSE but I hope you get the point). From uncontrolled fields in the US there are no required radio calls but none of the multiple answers on the test gave that option. Personally, I make calls prior to taxi, prior to crossing runway threshold for T/O and before/while entering phases of pattern. Thanks for your input.
