Re: red baron movie
I saw it a while back, I don't remember it being anything to write home about.
I looked on Rotten Tomatoes it's sitting at 25%, so pretty poor.

But don't let me stop you..The reviews after the first public performances of the film were mainly negative, criticized in particular the high level of historical inaccuracy. The fictitious love story between Richthofen and Käte Otersdorf was described as having little factual basis. The film was openly criticized at the Berlin premiere.

Re: red baron movie
I thought he drove a Fokker Triplane.... Even the pic/poster for the movie is inaccurate as it shows him cruising with a Biplane.
Crap.

print it
and look at it under an electron microscope, I was surprised to see hz2ps interpretation of that classic masterpiece of early modern Greek literature- the Erotokritos , with full text of all 10,012 fifteen-syllable-rhymed verses.
Crazy stuff we have now-a-days........

Re: red baron movie
I think I'll wait for this Movie on TV. I think they only make about one good movie a year, and about five mediocre ones a week. This one might be ok, maybe I'm just getting too fussy. (:
Anyway, this reminds me , a while back I was looking over how to make yer own Red Baron tri-wing
http://www.airdromeairplanes.com/Fokker ... le%7D.html
They have one or two flying around on youtube. Pretty draggy, but fun , I guess.
Then I read the builders log of a guy making one of those-a D-VII biplane I think, or the older style monoplane on that site -and he just about cranked it in on first flight-rigging was loopy, I guess. I'll see if I can find his flight report-I think his main point was to get an expert to test fly it for first flight, or something...
