AC 43.13-1b page 11-60 If you are talking about control cables, wouldn't there be a fairlead, not a grommet?
How do you know when your half way through a date with a Pilot? When they say "enough talk about flying, lets talk about me!"

Re: M2 AME Standard Practice exam question
i think the question is referring to electrical cable/bundles because there is no talk about distance and fairleads to be installed on control cables and if there is, i've looked all over and i cannot find it.
page 11-57 paragraph 11-146 (c) states " when a wire bundle is clamped into position, if there is less than 3/8-inch clearance between bulkhead cutout and the wire bundle, a suitable grommet should be installed as indicated in fig 11-14"
exam's tomorrow so we'll see if that question is even on there

Re: M2 AME Standard Practice exam question
Those are not bad marks. Good work. They really do gore you with the way the questions are put together and the fact that you are doing it the way you are on your own, not in 566 approved school really makes it tough.aviator_mech wrote:well so far i've done powerplant and standard practices..... i got 83% in powerplant and i found standard practices a lot harder, but i managed to get an 80.... i guess alright, all thats left is airframes and then regs hopefully done in a couple months

Re: M2 AME Standard Practice exam question
yeah not bad, but i actually have gone to college, i went to centennial, unfortunately didn't graduate with creditation in a couple classes in first year, long story the dean of the college wouldn't let me re write the exams because i didn't make the deadline, and at the time i had a job lined up so i was eager to go out into the field, its been about 5 years i've been in it and since i don't have the creditation i have to do all 4 exams.... kinda stupid if you ask me.... pretty much everything i'm studying for i never use... but whatever has got to be done, i just look it as a little refresher
